Targets From Structure, Not From Hope

Analytics charts and trend lines on a screen

Many journals show targets placed at neat multiples with no nearby swing, range edge, or measured move. In training we ask learners to name the structural reason for the target before calculating R.

If the only way to reach a preferred R is to invent a level the market has never respected nearby, treat that as a warning. Better to accept a modest R or skip than to decorate a chart.

Practise on historical packs: mark ten setups with structure-based targets only, then compare the planned R with what later unfolded.

Ratio Journal Circle spends one evening on this comparison so the habit becomes familiar under less pressure.
